Challenges of e-Learning in Higher Education and Possible Solutions

Abstract

This paper is an exploration of the challenges of e-learning in higher education as well as possible solutions. In institutions of higher education, the issue of utilizing modern information and communication technologies (ICT) for teaching and learning is very important. After a brief introduction, the author looks at the meaning or definitions of e-learning as given by different researchers and the role that e-learning plays in higher educational institutions in relation to teaching and learning processes. A list of challenges of e-learning in higher education and possible solutions are outlined before making conclusive remarks.
